They are a brainchild of the UNs Agenda 2030, and are in effect Climate Change lockdowns.<\/p>\n<p>And once combined with a digital ID, a carbon credit score and a programmable central bank digital currency (CBDC) token, you\u2019ve got the perfect recipe for creating a digital open-air prison.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-105978 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f1-e1673462008471.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f1-e1673462008471.png 1024w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f1-e1673462008471-300x192.png 300w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f1-e1673462008471-768x491.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Canterbury\u2019s council bosses have drawn up a radical plan to tackle congestion that will split the city into five zones and ban residents from driving directly between them.<\/p>\n<p>During the Middle Ages, Canterbury, a cathedral city in southeast England, was a pilgrimage site. With cobbled streets and timber-framed houses, ancient Roman walls encircle its medieval centre. It has a population of 43432.<\/p>\n<p>In Canterbury\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canterbury.gov.uk\/planning-and-building\/new-local-plan-2045\">\u2018Local Plan to 2045\u2019<\/a>, the council proposes splitting the city into five districts, with drivers unable to cross between districts by private car \u2013 even if they live there.<\/p>\n<p>Within <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/110wV4ZPEykrl9-3wgKrMVZ__dZUh1PCH\/view\">the document<\/a> is the idea of 15-minute neighbourhoods: For example \u2013 \u201c<em>Community infrastructure provided as part of upcoming developments should be accessible to new and existing residents \u2013 preferably within 15 minutes walking time and always within 15 minutes<\/em>.\u201d \u2013 They say this is about \u2018living locally\u2019.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This is the teaser guys\u2026 give you a zone, penalise you in to staying there. 15min cities: no travel, WFH, no cars, no meat, controlled digital currency. <\/p>\n<p>If this is abhorrent: stand up! <\/p>\n<p>Canterbury traffic zones \u2018like postwar Berlin without the wall\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Q25lfGOdKZ\">https:\/\/t.co\/Q25lfGOdKZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ren\u00e9e Hoenderkamp (@DrHoenderkamp) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DrHoenderkamp\/status\/1601457304230133760?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 10, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Those who break the rules will face fines (possibly the same as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/motors\/20211347\/drivers-need-permits-drive-across-city-face-fine\/\">Oxford\u2019s \u00a370<\/a>) enforced by number-plate recognition cameras and won\u2019t be able to make simple journeys around the city. According to Page 14 of the draft <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/110wV4ZPEykrl9-3wgKrMVZ__dZUh1PCH\/view\">Canterbury District Local Plan to 2045<\/a> \u2013 there will be \u201c<em>Implementation of an ANPR-based sectoring system and modal filters to limit cross-city trips<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They will instead have to drive out of their \u2018neighbourhood\u2019 and onto a new bypass \u2013 essentially a much larger outer ring road \u2013 before re-entering their chosen zone. Short, direct journeys across the city \u2013 like to supermarkets, retail parks or GP surgeries \u2013 will be banned to encourage residents to walk, cycle or use public transportation.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-105981\" src=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"581\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f2-1.jpg 768w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f2-1-289x300.jpg 289w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Designed after a system used in the Belgian city of Ghent, the proposal is part of the council\u2019s revised draft Local Plan. In the five zones, major roads will be closed, forcing drivers to ditch their cars or use the bypass. He said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>For residents within the five zones, they can access the facilities within their neighbourhood by car if they need to. But if you want to travel to a different neighbourhood, the most convenient way to do that will be by walking, cycling or using public transport.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It would likely be a frictionless system, so there would be cameras<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We will fine people who decide \u2018I\u2019m planning to drive across the city, I don\u2019t care\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>If you drive between neighbourhoods you will receive a fine<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201c<em>The amenities and services that you would need are all in your neighbourhood. You wouldn\u2019t have all the rat running, so it\u2019d be fantastic if we could achieve it<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also said: \u201c<em>In 20 years\u2019 time, you\u2019re likely going to have your groceries delivered or you\u2019re planning to go to a different supermarket or a new local shop in your own neighbourhood<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, Lib Dem councillor Nick Eden-Green says the scheme raises some \u201c<em>serious questions<\/em>\u201d. \u201c<em>When I visit friends I don\u2019t consider which zone they are living in. It\u2019s frankly ridiculous \u2013 you\u2019re creating ghettos where people are locked in and can\u2019t travel elsewhere<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It gets even more difficult for outsiders too: Visitors from other Kent districts and boroughs, or tourists, can\u2019t park within the city walls. As a result, most parking lots will be made redundant. Tourists and visitors can park in one of four zones around the city centre. From each zone, visitors will be able to ride the park and ride into the city.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is a \u201815-minute city\u2019?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"fitvidsignore\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/McGyONofhi4\" width=\"560\" height=\"349\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is all being done outside of the normal democratic process, for instance in Oxford where similar plans are afoot. Traffic filters will divide the city into \u201c15-minute\u201d neighbourhoods. Duncan Enright, Oxfordshire County Council\u2019s cabinet member for travel and development strategy, said the filters would turn Oxford into \u201c<em>a 15-minute city<\/em>\u201d with local services within a small walking radius.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Enright said: \u201c<em>It is about making sure you have the community centre which has all of those essential needs, the bottle of milk, pharmacy, GP, schools which you need to have a 15-minute neighbourhood<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He insisted the controversial plans would move ahead whether people liked it or not. And it\u2019s the same story in London. TfL consulted thousands of people who overwhelmingly said no to the ULEZ expansion. 60% of respondents opposed the expansion, but it\u2019s going forward anyway.<\/p>\n<p>Nigel Farage has called out the Canterbury plans, claiming \u201c<em>climate change lockdowns are coming<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-105984\" src=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"694\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f3.jpg 812w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f3-242x300.jpg 242w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f3-768x952.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While Ben Fitter-Harding blasted the social media chatter and told people not to \u201c<em>spread misinformation<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is also part of the <em>UN Sustainable Development Goals<\/em> for cities and human settlements. London\u2019s ULEZ zones will be expanded to cover most, if not all, of the city. This means you will have to pay \u00a312.50 a day for the privilege of getting into your car, no matter how short or long the trip is. There will be a 200 million pound ANPR camera network to fine drivers when they do.<\/p>\n<p>The plans for Canterbury seem to be derived from a plan which was proposed in 2020 labelled \u201c<em>The 15 minute city<\/em>\u201d and is part of the overall Net Zero 2030 agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Under the plan described by Councillor Val Kenny: \u201c<em>The covid-19 crisis has torn a hole in city budgets decimating urban economies<\/em>\u201d and thus to build back better they recommended: That \u201c<em>all residents will live in 15 minute cities<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The decentralisation of services has become known as the 15-minute city. This is where you can do your job, get to school, see your doctor and be entertained all within a 15-minute radius of where you live. Promoting active travel and reducing car use are key to achieving the 15-minute vision.<\/p>\n<p>Also from the <em>2021 Canterbury Climate Action Partnership<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canterburylabourcouncillors.co.uk\/the-15-minute-city\/\">document<\/a> under the section sustainable transport \u2013 it states the following: to \u201c<em>Encourage CCC to set up a low emissions zone(s) and tackle air quality hotspots; ensure that all council vehicles are ultra-low emission\/electric by 2030<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This plan is the same as London\u2019s for the establishment of low-emission zones.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-105990\" src=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f5.jpg 768w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f5-300x216.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>As climate change and global conflict cause shocks and stresses at faster intervals and increased severity, the 15-minute city will become even more critical<\/em>.\u201d \u2013 World Economic Forum (WEF) \u2013 March 15, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The 15 minute city concept is also being pushed by our esteemed friends at the World Economic Forum: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2022\/03\/15-minute-city-stickiness\/\">The surprising stickiness of the \u201c15-minute city\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>They explain what it means: The \u201c15-minute city\u201d concept\u2014which implies having all necessary amenities within a short walk, bike ride, or public transit trip from one\u2019s home\u2014has demonstrated stickiness not just as an idea, but as a powerful tool for action \u2013 from Paris to Seoul, from Bogot\u00e1 to Houston. It was coined in 2016 by Sorbonne professor Carlos Moreno, who won an Obel Award (international prize for architectural achievement) in 2021.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"fitvidsignore\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/c_j_6FaL1y8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deloitte.com\/global\/en\/Industries\/government-public\/perspectives\/urban-future-with-a-purpose\/15-minute-city.html\">Delloite<\/a>: \u201c<em>The re-zoning model will gain further traction in the future, boosted during the Covid-19 pandemic by new ways of working that require less transport. With climate change as a major global concern, C40 in its C40 Mayors\u2019 Agenda for a Green and Just Recovery has recommended this model for cities worldwide. This is because its pedestrianisation approach contributes to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and supports environmental sustainability. Most notably, the \u201815-minute city\u2019 was popularised in 2019 by Paris and is a flagship initiative in the current programme for the city<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In many other cities around the UK and the world, this plan is being replicated. Oxford City Council is working on the same element.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-105993\" src=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"626\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f6.jpg 802w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f6-269x300.jpg 269w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/f6-768x858.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>C40<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are 97 cities in the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, which represents one twelfth of the world\u2019s population and one quarter of the world\u2019s economy. The C40 was created in October 2005 when London Mayor Ken Livingstone convened representatives from 18 megacities to reduce climate pollution together. With the help of former US President Bill Clinton, Mayor Livingstone and the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) strengthened both organizations in 2006, expanding the network to 40 cities and helping cities deliver projects and project management to reduce emissions.<\/p>\n<p>It was C40 that introduced the 15-minute city concept. It\u2019s a network of mayors from nearly 100 world-leading cities working together to tackle climate change \u2013 right now it\u2019s headed by London Mayor Sadiq Khan.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s understood that the Covid-19 pandemic played a significant role in accelerating this shift to 15-minute cities and according to Lisa Chamberlain of the World Economic Forum, \u201c<em>the 15-minute city grew from a nice-to-have to a rallying cry<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Global organizations, such as the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, took notice too. In July 2020, they published a framework for cities to \u201c<em>build back better<\/em>\u201d, and the 15-minute city concept was at the heart of it.<\/p>\n<p>And who funds C40.org? It\u2019s a partnership with many companies including the Open Society Foundations, founded in 1993 by George Soros. Other partners include the Wellcome Trust, the Clinton Foundation and the World Bank.<\/p>\n<p>In a Twitter thread posted by Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Leroy, he outlined some of the chilling aspects of these so-called C40 Cities. Michael Bloomberg is the C40 Board president, and Sadiq Khan is the current chair.
