Leftists have taken over nearly every institution that made Western civilization so successful and great, including the Christian faith, as evidenced by the growing number of denominations now actively advocating the opposite of what Jesus and the Bible<\/em> teach.<\/p>\n

A recent example comes from Germany, where a Catholic bishop laid out new guidelines that require priests in the diocese to accept homosexuality and transgenderism, in direct conflict with God\u2019s word.<\/p>\n

For the record, the Christian faith does not advocate harming or shunning such persons (unlike other religions). Instead, the Bible<\/em> simply describes what constitutes improper behavior in the context that man was put on this Earth to \u201cgo forth and multiply<\/em>\u201d and to live together with the opposite gender.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe head of the German bishops\u2019 Conference (DBK) introduced binding guidelines on sexual education for all parishes in his diocese that force them to accept and promote homosexuality and transgenderism<\/em>,\u201d LifeSite News<\/em> reported. \u201cAccording to these 10 guidelines, \u2018there is diversity in sexual identity and orientation\u2019.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

The guidelines note further:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe appreciative handling of these differences and diversity should be actively promoted in the parishes and institutions. The choice of lifestyle is to be respected as the result of an individual and personal decision. It is to be recognized when partners take responsibility for each other in mutual fidelity and care. Furthermore, we welcome it when couples wish to place their partnership under the blessing of God<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

These guidelines were established by Bishop Georg B\u00e4tzing, who heads the heterodox Synodal Way as well as the DBK, on May 17, 2022, but they were just revealed recently during an online event from the diocese of Limburg, LifeSite News <\/em>continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery person has the right to sexual self-determination and the free choice over their own life decisions<\/em>,\u201d the guidelines say, according to the outlet. \u201cThis needs to be promoted and respected<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSexual self-determination<\/em>\u201d also apparently means including transgenderism because the guidelines also mention people who \u201cfeel neither as a woman nor as a man<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt should be a goal that people are supported in their sexual self-determination, to which every person has a right<\/em>,\u201d the guidelines continue. \u201cThis requires that people are supported and encouraged in this freedom, but at the same time strengthened to refrain from behavior that impairs or harms other people in their self-determination.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

According to this passage, priests would be forbidden to call to repentance Catholics who engage in sinful sexual acts, including homosexual acts, since that would \u201cimpair or harm<\/em>\u201d them \u201cin their sexual self-determination<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

B\u00e4tzing\u2019s new guidelines are in direct opposition to the immutable teaching of the Catholic Church on sexuality. The Catholic Church has infallibly taught since its beginning that homosexual acts are gravely sinful and that same-sex attraction is disordered.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what the Catechism<\/em> of the Catholic Church says, however, per the outlet: \u201cBasing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity (Cf. Genesis 19:1-29; Romans 1:24-27; 1 Corinthians 6:10; 1 Timothy 1:10), tradition has always declared that \u2018homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.\u2019 (Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Persona humana, 8). They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

As such, no member of the Church can simply alter teachings about acts of homosexuality because they are \u201cintrinsically disordered<\/em>,\u201d per the Catechism<\/em>. So, these acts are always sinful regardless of the circumstances; homosexual acts are contrary to natural law.<\/p>\n

But here\u2019s what\u2019s going on. Church attendance has been falling steadily for years, so in response, members of the Church pursue to \u2018bend the rules\u2019 to attract more people, even if they have to do so by breaking tradition. Only, the more they break tradition, the more faithful people leave the Church.<\/p>\n

Western society is on a crash course with the ashbin of history. It\u2019s inevitable at this point.<\/p>\n
