{"id":139317,"date":"2023-11-21T20:44:10","date_gmt":"2023-11-21T20:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/?p=139317"},"modified":"2023-11-21T20:51:02","modified_gmt":"2023-11-21T20:51:02","slug":"how-the-us-spent-4-1-billion-on-global-lgbt-initiatives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/en\/how-the-us-spent-4-1-billion-on-global-lgbt-initiatives\/","title":{"rendered":"How the US Spent $4.1 Billion on Global LGBT Initiatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the past three fiscal years, $4.1 billion in federal money from taxpayers has flowed to LGBT initiatives in the United States and around the world, an <em>Epoch Times<\/em> investigation has revealed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-139318 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/us1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"247\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/us1.png 2172w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/us1-300x132.png 300w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/us1-1024x452.png 1024w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/us1-768x339.png 768w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/us1-1536x677.png 1536w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/us1-2048x903.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>From Oct. 1, 2020, through Sept. 30, 2023, the U.S. government issued more than 1,100 grants to fund LGBT-promoting projects around the world, according to a review of a federal spending <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaspending.gov\/search\/?hash=03dea34c5cc895734958e854f7b9ff7b\">website.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The scope of projects varies widely.<\/p>\n<p>Plans to create a \u201c<em>safe space for LGBTQ youth and adults to seek support and resources<\/em>\u201d earned a $1.8 million grant from the U.S. government in 2022 for the LGBT Life Center in Norfolk, Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>A proposal for encouraging \u201c<em>diversity, equity, and inclusion in Serbia\u2019s workplaces and business communities by promoting economic empowerment of and opportunity for LGBTQI+ people in Serbia<\/em>\u201d was also a winning plan. To fund it, the U.S. government awarded Serbian activist group Grupa Izadji a grant of $500,000.<\/p>\n<p>An Armenian activist group, the Pink Human Rights Defender, received $1 million from the United States \u201c<em>to empower the LGBTI community<\/em>\u201d in Armenia, a tiny country next to Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>The federal spending website can be filtered to show entries that include specific keywords. A list of payouts filtered by using the keyword \u201cLGBT\u201d included 1,181 grants, 31 loans, and nine direct payments during the past three fiscal years.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-139321 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/us2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"372\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/us2.png 927w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/us2-300x199.png 300w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/us2-768x510.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Overall, during the past fiscal year that ended on Sept. 30, the government issued 454,821 grants.<\/p>\n<p>Government grants may be direct payments to groups that are unrestricted or for a specific use. Federal loans can be repaid over long periods of time at low interest rates.<\/p>\n<p>Of grants connected to the keyword \u201cLGBT,\u201d individual payouts of at least $1 million totalled more than $3.7 billion combined. Many additional smaller grants also were awarded for LGBT initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Filtering the list for grants that included the word \u201c<em>transgender<\/em>\u201d returned 574 entries. In that category, grants that paid out at least $1 million totalled nearly $478 million.<\/p>\n<p>An independent researcher who asked to remain anonymous has been tracking how the federal government spends money on grants related to gender ideology.<\/p>\n<p>He started the work when he was laid off from his oil field job in the early part of the covid pandemic. After doing some digging, he was shocked to learn that, while he and his friends got little relief from the federal government, taxpayer dollars poured into LGBT activist causes, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>I just couldn\u2019t believe it<\/em>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He now works at a politically left-wing oil company and his superiors likely would object to how he now presents his findings on virtual communication networks, he told <em>The Epoch Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>I could write for 20 years about just the money that\u2019s already been spent over the past three or four years<\/em>,\u201d he said. The oil worker-turned-investigator shares his findings on X under the handle <em>Randoland.us<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rainbow Revolution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Department of Education search revealed an ongoing grant paid to Emory University for researchers to study \u201c<em>the rectal mucosal effects of cross-sex hormone therapy among U.S. and Thai transgender women<\/em>,\u201d <em>The Epoch Times<\/em> confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>The project started in 2019 with a projected end date of July 2024. According to the government website, researchers will receive almost $3.5 million from the U.S. government to do the work.<\/p>\n<p>The project is categorized under \u201c<em>allergy and infectious diseases research<\/em>,\u201d with the stated purpose to \u201c<em>assist public and private nonprofit institutions and individuals to establish, expand, and improve biomedical research and research training in infectious diseases and related areas<\/em>,\u201d according to the federal spending website.<\/p>\n<p>Some small grants focus on studies that examine equally tiny portions of the 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One grant recipient examines the effects of alcohol on intimate partner violence in transgender and non-gender-conforming adults, <em>The Epoch Times<\/em> confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>A 2023 project received nearly $350,000 from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to translate the \u201c<em>Homosaurus<\/em>\u201d\u2014a thesaurus of LGBT terms\u2014into Spanish.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Homosaurus<\/em> website includes definitions for sexual terms such as: \u201c<em>anonymous sex<\/em>,\u201d \u201c<em>aromantic porn films<\/em>,\u201d \u201c<em>pederasts<\/em>,\u201d \u201c<em>children\u2019s sexuality<\/em>,\u201d and \u201c<em>gay children<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Homosaurus<\/em> has reclassified as \u201c<em>fetishes<\/em>\u201d the words \u201c<em>gerontophilia<\/em>,\u201d \u201c<em>ephebophilia<\/em>,\u201d and \u201c<em>hebephilia<\/em>,\u201d Greek words that mean sexual attraction to the elderly, people aged 15 to 19, and children aged 11 to 14, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Epoch Times<\/em> contacted the NEH about the grant but received no response.<\/p>\n<p>LGBT cultural projects in America that received funding include more than $333,000 for an LGBT radio and television \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/apps.neh.gov\/publicquery\/main.aspx?f=1&amp;gn=PW-269420-20\"><em>digitization and access projec<\/em><\/a><em>t<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another provided <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.neh.gov\/publicquery\/main.aspx?f=1&amp;gn=PW-277481-21\">$324,000<\/a> to map \u201c<em>historical LGBTQ spaces through gay travel guides<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One grant provides $1 million to Outright Action, an American activist group dedicated to global LGBT advocacy operating in many countries, including Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Ukraine, the Philippines, Iran, and China.<\/p>\n<p>Another <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.neh.gov\/publicquery\/main.aspx?f=1&amp;gn=FT-291128-23\">grant<\/a> pays for a \u201c<em>social biography of same-sex desire in postcolonial Ireland<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One provides funding to chronicle contributions to \u201c<em>gender identity development<\/em>\u201d among Belarusian teenage girls in vulnerable families.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LGBT Initiatives in Schools<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Government-directed LGBT grants to American schools included $1.4 million to Boston College to study \u201c<em>mechanisms of health promotion in diverse youth through gay-straight alliances<\/em>.\u201d The grant funded the promotion of gay-straight alliance <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bc.edu\/content\/bc-web\/schools\/lynch-school\/lynch-news\/2023-news-archive\/BC-researcher-examines-impact-of-GSA-clubs.html\">clubs<\/a> in Massachusetts middle and high schools.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>The federal government is using <\/em><em>the grant process to change the culture and climate in America\u2019s public schools<\/em>,\u201d Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice told <em>The Epoch Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>In her experience as a local school board member, Ms. Justice saw government-funded activist groups lead the ideological capture of schools, she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>The grants go to \u2018community partners,\u2019 and \u2018community partners\u2019 then go in, and they work to change the procedure in the schools<\/em>\u201d to favor and teach LGBT activist worldviews, she said.<\/p>\n<p>The federal government pursues this policy of \u201c<em>cultural revolution<\/em>\u201d against the will of most Americans, Ms. Justice said.<\/p>\n<p>A recent poll by the group found that more than 70 percent of Americans want schools to teach basic educational skills and don\u2019t want gender ideology or sexual orientation left;\">Yet money flows to these projects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) gave $1.2 million to \u201cLGBTQIA+ pride centers\u201d in the San Diego Community College District.<\/p>\n<p>Another DOE grant of almost $1.6 million was awarded for North Dakota\u2019s \u201c<em>indigenous, LGBTQIA+, rural and underserved school-based psychic health
