\n In the roaring, whirling wind
\n Are the souls of a million lunatics
\n Just loosed from the prison-house,
\n Wrenching trees by the roots,
\n Sweeping all from the path.
\n The sea has joined the fray,
\n And swirls up mountain-waves,
\n To reach the pitchy sky.
\n The flash of lurid light
\n Reveals on every side
\n A thousand, thousand shades
\n Of Death begrimed and black \u2014
\n Scattering plagues and sorrows,
\n Dancing mad with joy,
\n Come, Mother, come!
\n For Terror is Thy name,
Death is in Thy breath.
