According to Musk, synthetic mRNA is digital medicine that operates as a computer program capable of rewriting the human genome.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>I think there are going to be a lot of breakthroughs on the medical front<\/em>,\u201d said Musk. \u201c<em>Particularly around synthetic mRNA<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>You can basically do anything with synthetic RNA\u2026\u2026. DNA\u2026\u2026. It\u2019s like a computer program<\/em>,\u201d continued Musk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>With effort that\u2019s not too crazy, you can probably stop aging. You can basically do anything. You can turn someone into a friggin\u2019 butterfly if you want, with the right DNA sequence<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"fitvidsignore\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/czC0qbIU6EU?si=zBnkIpo18oCh80E0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>During the pandemic, Musk announced Telsa was building \u201c<em>RNA microfactories<\/em>\u201d for German vaccine maker CureVac.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In principle, I think synthetic RNA (and DNA) has amazing potential. It\u2019s stupid anyone ever claimed it was 100% effective. No vaccine is 100% fool-proof<\/em>,\u201d said Musk.<\/p>\n<p>He also explained the incident that almost landed him in hospital after taking his third mRNA dose in the form of a covid booster:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>As for myself, I got original covid before the vaccine was out (mild cold symptoms) and had to get three vaccines for travel. The third shot almost sent me to hospital<\/em>,\u201d he tweeted.
