It was also attached to a similarly sized 3D shape in the form of a human head (see below), but this couldn\u2019t move<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-164186\" src=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/2-300x200.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/2-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/2.png 639w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the <em>News Scientist<\/em>\u2019s video and article, <em>Modernity News<\/em> noted the following:<\/p>\n<p>The <em>New Scientist<\/em> writes \u201c<em>A smiling face made from living human skin could one day be attached to a humanoid robot, allowing machines to emote and communicate in a more life-like way, say researchers<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Why researchers are saying this now? Was Dr. Evil not available for comment? Imagine that pink nightmare smiling down at you as it announces it\u2019s your new master.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">&#8220;Hey, honey, I&#8217;ll be home a little late today. We just made a real breakthrough at the Nightmare Factory.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/FABOapx5Ax\">https:\/\/t.co\/FABOapx5Ax<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 DrewMcWeeny (@DrewMcWeeny) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DrewMcWeeny\/status\/1806050335871668437?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 26, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The article continues, \u201c<em>The living tissue is a cultured mix of human skin cells grown in a collagen scaffold and placed on top of a 3D-printed resin base<\/em>.\u201d Of course it is. Wouldn\u2019t expect anything less for Robot McSkin Face.<\/p>\n<p>It continues, \u201c<em>Unlike previous similar experiments, the skin also contains the equivalent of the ligaments that, in humans and other animals, are buried in the layer of tissue beneath the skin, holding it in place and giving it incredible strength and flexibility<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So, you\u2019ll struggle to rip it off as you desperately attempt to reveal to the world the true identity of the new overlord.<\/p>\n<p>But seriously, why does it need to be made of living human skin? Can\u2019t we just have the future killer robots look like robots, please?<\/p>\n<p>Are they intent on recreating <em>The Terminator<\/em> movies exactly?
