{"id":182534,"date":"2024-12-17T19:28:32","date_gmt":"2024-12-17T19:28:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/?p=182534"},"modified":"2024-12-17T19:28:52","modified_gmt":"2024-12-17T19:28:52","slug":"news-moderate-jihad-syrians-excited-over-public-executions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/en\/news-moderate-jihad-syrians-excited-over-public-executions\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cModerate Jihad\u201d: Syrians \u201cExcited\u201d Over Public Executions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After lauding how the overthrow of Assad in Syria would bring about \u201c<em>moderate jihad<\/em>,\u201d the <em>BBC<\/em> highlighted how thousands of \u201c<em>excited<\/em>\u201d Syrians turned out to see a public execution.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-182535 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/syria.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/syria.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/syria-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/syria-1024x577.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/syria-768x433.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Since Syrian rebel leader (formerly known as terrorist) Abu Mohammed al-Jolani led his militants to topple Assad\u2019s government, the legacy media has been busy rebranding al-Jolani and his cohorts as westernized and tolerant, with al-Jolani even adopting the rhetoric of corporate HR departments by declaring, \u201c<em>Diversity is a strength<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Recently, the <em>BBC<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c0q0w1g8zqvo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> that al-Jolani and his HTS fighters wanted to usher in a form of \u201c<em>moderate jihad<\/em>,\u201d despite the fact that the rebel leader was previously affiliated with ISIS and Al-Qaeda, was radicalized by 9\/11, and previously planted roadside IEDs targeting US troops in Iraq.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, one manifestation of this \u201c<em>moderate jihad<\/em>\u201d is the lust for extrajudicial public executions.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Is this what the BBC meant by &#8216;moderate jihad&#8217;?
