Partnered with British Army intelligence, and with an alleged financial interest in profiting from the \u201ccovid\u201d regime, a group called the \u201cMutton Crew\u201d has been seeking to ruin the lives of covid-skeptic British doctors and even a member of Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2024, former MP Andrew Bridgen announced he had been targeted by a member of the Mutton Crew. Bridgen has been an outspoken critic of mRNA \u201cvaccines\u201d and of the \u201ccovid\u201d regime generally.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">EYES NEEDED: A few days ago I asked an X user who goes by the handle @sharky_vs_evil to disclose their identity to me as I was advised their frequent replies to my tweets may infringe section 127 of the Communications Act 2003, being \u201cgrossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/AcwLpvRCJR\">pic.twitter.com\/AcwLpvRCJR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Andrew Bridgen (@ABridgen) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ABridgen\/status\/1790464009189077419?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 14, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>In response the \u201c<em>grassroots civil liberty<\/em>\u201d group U.K. Freedom Campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/UKFreedomCamp\/status\/1790632636764864777\">posted<\/a> links to other suspected members \u2013 mentioning a possible connection to the U.K. Army intelligence\u2019s covert 77th Brigade.<\/p>\n<p>Yet the actions of the Mutton Crew date back several years, and their connection to British Army intelligence is well established.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role-playing games<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A U.S. medical doctor publishing under a pseudonym called \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/arkmedic\">Arkmedic<\/a>\u201d wrote a 2022 report on the Mutton Crew and their connection with British military intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>Under a pen name of Dr. Ah Kahn Syed (\u201c<em>I can say it<\/em>\u201d), the anonymous medic produced a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arkmedic.info\/p\/viki-and-the-mutton-crew\/comments\">rundown on Substack<\/a> of the methods, membership, and means of identification used by the psychological warfare group of 77th Brigade British Army intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>Arkmedic noted the strange <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41577-021-00525-y\">publication<\/a> of a paper in the scientific journal <em>Nature<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Authored by Viki Male PhD, noted for \u201c<em>her rampant push of the covid vaccines in pregnancy<\/em>,\u201d the inclusion of Male\u2019s work in the journal was noteworthy for her \u201c<em>having a very sparse research background at the time<\/em>\u201d in her field of flow cytometry \u2013 the detection and measurement of cells. Yet Arkmedic could offer an explanation for her work appearing in the prestigious <em>Nature<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c[H]er intricate links (which I will now show) to the 77th brigade\u2019s propaganda arm on twitter<\/em>\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This propaganda arm is the Mutton Crew, which, as Arkmedic explained, identifies itself online with the following:<\/p>\n<p>(1) Stone head emojis<br \/>\n(2) Chinese 77 characters (that look like this: \u4e03\u4e03)<br \/>\n(3) \u201cSarcastic\u201d bios saying \u201c77th apparently\u201d or similar<br \/>\n(4) Recently \u2013 mouse emojis<br \/>\n(5) Most importantly \u2013 having <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SwaledaleMutton\">Swaledale Mutton Co<\/a> as your top follows\/followers<\/p>\n<p>The Mutton Crew is headed by another flow cytometrist, Graham Bottley PhD, known as \u201cSwaledale Mutton\u201d on X (formerly Twitter). He also runs a live action role-playing game <a href=\"https:\/\/www.randroll.com\/interview-graham-arion\/\">business<\/a> called Arion Games and has <a href=\"https:\/\/advancedfightingfantasy.co.uk\/aff-books\">authored<\/a> \u201cFighting Fantasy\u201d choose-your-own-adventure books.<\/p>\n<p>As Arkmedic explains:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Having been a recipient of the treatment that the Mutton Crew (aka Dr Bottley\u2019s followers) dish out to people who disagree them (or with the government\u2019s propaganda on covid or the covid vaccines), I can safely attest that the mutton swarm invariably descends on anybody that does not toe the party line<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Professor Norman Fenton was another high-profile victim of the Mutton Crew, as he announced on X in September 2022:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">This thread gives an indication of the tactics of the &#8216;mutton crew&#8217; who try to deligitimize &amp; silence me and anybody else challenging the &#8216;official covid narrative. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Koqbmm2rQu\">https:\/\/t.co\/Koqbmm2rQu<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OWDKQ45VGl\">pic.twitter.com\/OWDKQ45VGl<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Prof Norman Fenton (@profnfenton) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/profnfenton\/status\/1571106169649000448?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 17, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The crew\u2019s harassment and psyops were not confined to critics of the \u201ccovid\u201d regime, but have included dissidents more generally. Big Brother Watch in the U.K. reported in early 2023 that the Army\u2019s 77th Brigade had been <a href=\"https:\/\/bigbrotherwatch.org.uk\/press-releases\/defence-secretary-admits-77th-brigade-tasked-to-uk-disinformation\/\">engaged<\/a> in monitoring \u201c<em>online disinformation<\/em>\u201d in the U.K. Their January 2023 <a href=\"https:\/\/bigbrotherwatch.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Ministry-of-Truth-Big-Brother-Watch-290123.pdf\">report<\/a> <em>The UK\u2019s Ministry of Truth<\/em> documented the extensive operations of \u201c<em>the secretive government units spying on your speech<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Independent reporters like Arkmedic explained the Mutton Crew\u2019s mode of operation \u2013 stating it is simply an arm of the British Deep State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>In nearly all instances the accounts which are responsible for mass-reporting (in order to get your account removed from X) have account identifiers described above and every one has Swaledale Mutton as a follow\/follower. Hence we call them the \u2018mutton crew\u2019. They are more specifically part of the disinformation arm of the British Army<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arkmedic\u2019s pseudonym appears in a roll of honour of doctors suggested for the Nobel Peace Prize, for their fearless recommendation of ivermectin treatments for covid infections. The list was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.francesoir.fr\/videos-les-debriefings-videos-english\/adam-gaertner-18-months-tale-discovery-ivermectin-and\">published<\/a> by <em>France-Soir<\/em> in June 2021, with mask, \u201cvaccine,\u201d and lockdown mandates still variously in force worldwide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A brief history of online psyops<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>His or her work shows a pattern demonstrated in a piece by the anonymous journalist \u201cJohn,\u201d who writes as The Sentiment Inspector on Substack.<\/p>\n<p>Explaining his or her need for anonymity, John <a href=\"https:\/\/substack.com\/home\/post\/p-153103402\">said<\/a> in a report on the 77th Brigade, \u201c<em>I\u2019ve been asked many times about my identity and authenticity \u2013 questions I cannot answer right now due to ongoing criminal investigations<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Whilst the anonymity of this account is understandable, the value of the material John covers speaks for itself. So far, this Substack is a comprehensive account of the methods used by the British Deep State to monitor and manipulate the public as unwitting players in a game.<\/p>\n<p>John is not the only observer to see the covid regime in this light. Dr. Daniel Armstrong, a U.K. consultant psychiatrist, was struck off the medical register in December 2024. In his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/387\/bmj.q2888\">hearing<\/a>, a video was cited against him as evidence, in which he said the covid regime was a \u201c<em>massive deception<\/em>,\u201d presenting the kind of gamified \u201c<em>fake reality<\/em>\u201d in the production of which the Mutton Crew specialize.<\/p>\n<p>John\u2019s first <a href=\"https:\/\/substack.com\/home\/post\/p-152645063\">post<\/a>, from December 6, 2024, was titled <em>Inside the Dark World of Digital Manipulation and Harassment<\/em>. It situated the creation of the Mutton Crew in the broader context of the development of mass digital media.<\/p>\n<p>Tracing the beginnings of digital manipulation technique, John goes back to the 2011 innovation of \u201c<em>interactive choose your own adventure TV<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>This interactive storytelling concept would give viewers the chance to \u2018try life\u2019 before settling on any given path, transforming traditional film viewing into a more participatory experience<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pioneered by John Irwin\u2019s film production company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trylife.tv\/\">TryLife<\/a>, it gave rise to the popular U.K. TV series <em>Black Mirror<\/em>, whose dystopian visions of a digital world was rendered interactive in a 2018 episode called \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Black_Mirror:_Bandersnatch\"><em>Bandersnatch<\/em><\/a><em>, offering viewers the power to control the actions of the protagonist<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As John says, \u201c<em>Then came 2019, and with it, the global pandemic of <\/em>covid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John documents how virtual communication \u201c<em>disruptors<\/em>,\u201d YouTubers, bloggers, and others such as \u201c<em>social capital behavior change ninja<\/em>\u201d Kirsty O\u2019Callaghan were recruited by a team called Social Kind \u2013 to police and promote the state narrative of \u201ccovid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of course, there were ties to big business: \u201c<em>Emmy Coffey McCarthy, a social justice warrior and employee at META, helped align Social Kind\u2019s operations with corporate interests<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As John argues, \u201c<em>Together, they began to craft campaigns that manipulated public opinion, pushing narratives designed to serve corporate and political interests.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Psychological war games<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Using game-based models of human behavior, the team coordinated efforts to produce a next generation method of propaganda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Through platforms like Hootsuite, the team gamified virtual communication, creating fake accounts and recruiting influencers to amplify specific messages. Their goal was clear: to control narratives, discredit opposition, and promote agendas that benefited their backers<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The group recruited famous ambassadors for this agenda, as John reports:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>They even paid celebrities to promote their causes, such as Carole Baskin from Tiger King to promote mask-wearing, and Jamie Oliver to push TryLife\u2019s interactive media in America<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yet there was a darker dimension to the manufacture of public appeal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Behind the scenes, they were waging psychological warfare, using tactics that blurred the line between manipulation and outright harassment<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This was the work of the group that would become known as the Mutton Crew. It is led by a man with an <a href=\"https:\/\/unseendetective.substack.com\/p\/observations-of-the-infamous-dr-graham-5a9\">interest<\/a> in role-playing games. He would become a leader of a group specializing in \u201c<em>competitive intelligence<\/em>\u201d \u2013 the next generation of online psychological warfare, which John explained in a fresh <a href=\"https:\/\/sentimentinspector.substack.com\/p\/shadow-puppets\">report<\/a> of January 3. Its leader was a man who loved to play games.<\/p>\n<p>Described by <em>Wikispooks <\/em>as a \u201c<em>pharmaceutical propagandist<\/em>,\u201d their report says Dr. Graham Bottley directs \u201c<em>a network notorious for trolling the accounts of activists, dissidents and government critics, especially over <\/em>covid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Graham Bottley, a key member became infamous for his abusive online behavior. His actions led to the group being dubbed the \u2018Mutton Crew\u2019, named after Bottley, a sheep farmer, and his aggressive tactics<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bottley is also a \u201c<em>flow cytometrist<\/em>\u201d who used his academic credentials in the promotion of PCR testing \u2013 and to attack \u201c<em>anti-vaxxers<\/em>.\u201d Yet his scientific knowledge has been repeatedly questioned, by investigative journalist Steve Kirsch <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/stkirsch\/status\/1721170915491492342\">here<\/a>, and by \u201c<em>virus denier<\/em>\u201d Mike Stone here:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Is Graham Bottley, an &#8220;Immunologist&#8221; and Flow Cytometrist for 25 years, an intentionally dishonest person, or does he not have the necessary learning skills required to obtain new information and correct his mistakes?<\/p>\n<p>Or is it both? \ud83e\udd14<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xonbGfvOh0\">https:\/\/t.co\/xonbGfvOh0<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/bJLRFetksy\">pic.twitter.com\/bJLRFetksy<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 ViroLIEgy (@ViroLIEgy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ViroLIEgy\/status\/1780692093398122549?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 17, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The invasive and repressive measure of PCR testing defended and promoted by the Mutton Crew was adopted at enormous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abta.com\/news\/uk-pcr-cost-double-european-rate\">expense<\/a> to the public, with the NHS \u201c<em>test and trace<\/em>\u201d priced at \u00a337 billion alone. The U.K. government has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-independent.com\/news\/uk\/politics\/covid-test-cost-free-confidential-b2016373.html\">refused<\/a> in the past to reveal to taxpayers the cost of a scheme to administer tests which its inventor Kary Mullis <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/EaHsQ\">described<\/a> as \u201c<em>inappropriate to detect a viral infection<\/em>\u201d and <a href=\"https:\/\/off-guardian.org\/2020\/06\/27\/covid19-pcr-tests-are-scientifically-meaningless\/\">by others<\/a> as \u201c<em>scientifically meaningless<\/em>.\u201d The report was <a href=\"https:\/\/off-guardian.org\/2020\/07\/31\/open-letter-refuting-politifacts-fact-check\/\">censored<\/a> by Facebook for being \u201c<em>fake news<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yet the tests defended and promoted by Bottley\u2019s Swaledale Mutton Crew were used to enforce a lucrative regime of social control by mandate \u2013 under a ritualized veneer of scientific rigor. This was one aspect of the interactive dimension of mass media control.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, the <em>BBC<\/em>\u2019s \u201cfact checker\u201d Marianna Spring decided to \u201c<em>investigate the UK conspiracy movement<\/em>.\u201d As <em>The Expose<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/expose-news.com\/2023\/06\/14\/marianna-spring-boasted-about-investigating\/\">reported<\/a>, the head \u201cfact checker\u201d of <em>BBC Verify<\/em> succeeded only in revealing the <em>BBC<\/em>\u2019s own links to a conspiracy against the public spearheaded by the Mutton Crew.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does the Mutton Crew do?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>John goes on to explain the methods of the Mutton Crew:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>The crew\u2019s core tactics involved emotional manipulation \u2013 they would provoke, antagonize, and bait people into making aggressive responses. These responses were then reported as \u2018hate speech\u2019 to virtual communication platforms, enabling the Mutton Crew to suppress dissent while continuing to push their own messages<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The reach of this \u201ccrew\u201d expanded enormously. Via partnerships with international operations such as Team Halo and Shots Heard Around the World, John reported:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>By 2019, they were running thousands of fake virtual communication accounts across platforms like Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, and Reddit. The crew\u2019s tactics were sophisticated, using well-coordinated campaigns of harassment, misinformation, and threats. They didn\u2019t just attack people verbally \u2013 they aimed to destroy careers, reputations, and lives<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John then documents the harrowing treatment of Dr. David Cartland, often framed by the sock puppet accounts of the Mutton Crew as a lunatic who has imagined their years-long operation to destroy him.<\/p>\n<p>Cartland has been a consistent critic of the so-called \u201ccovid mRNA vaccines\u201d and faces a potentially career-ending review by the General Medical Council. Legal cases have been brought against him, and the consistent online and allegedly offline harassment he has faced as a result of his declared mission to protect patients from \u201cvaccine\u201d harm has led him \u201c<em>to the brink<\/em>,\u201d as he told <em>LifeSiteNews<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>As recently as December, the Mutton Crew were denounced by a senior British medic as \u201c<em>a vile gang of online bullies and harassers who attack their victims and attempt to destroy anyone who dares to question the government\u2019s narrative<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In remarks referencing the treatment of Dr Cartland and others, consultant surgeon Ian McDermott warned, \u201c<em>They are using the GMC [General Medical Council] as a weapon against good honest doctors!<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Please read: \u2018The Mutton Crew\u2019 &#8211; a vile gang of online bullies and harassers who attack their victims and attempt to destroy anyone who dares to question the government\u2019s narrative.<br \/>\nThey are using the GMC as a weapon against good honest doctors!!<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/gmcuk?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@gmcuk<\/a> !!<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NEwFk4u7gm\">https:\/\/t.co\/NEwFk4u7gm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ian McDermott (@ianmcdermottLSO) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ianmcdermottLSO\/status\/1866379667168510343?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 10, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><strong>The crew jumps ship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yet as John notes, the exposure of the Mutton Crew by Bridgen in May has seen them \u201cgo quiet\u201d \u2013 with former members disavowing the group and even moving abroad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>As more information surfaced, it became clear that Simon Harris and Ian Robinson had been involved in a global operation designed to manipulate public opinion and suppress dissent<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John alleges that the criminal activity of the Mutton Crew was not confined to harassment of dissidents and covid skeptics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Payments were traced to Robinson in Thailand, specifically for trolling and psychological warfare against people in the UK and around the world. This operation was not just a rogue virtual communication campaign \u2013 it was a carefully orchestrated criminal enterprise<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Though the Mutton Crew have \u201cgone quiet,\u201d John reports that \u201c<em>their legacy lives on<\/em>.\u201d On the Sentiment Inspector Substack, he explained, \u201c<em>They pioneered tactics of virtual communication manipulation, harassment, and psychological warfare that blurred the line between truth and fiction. As new investigations continue, more details will emerge about their criminal activities, the people involved, and the far-reaching consequences of their digital manipulation<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the story of the development of a technique of next-generation warfare which gamified methods of psychological manipulation \u2013 to produce profit and preserve power for a corrupt elite.<\/p>\n<p>As John reminds his readers, this is a legacy we all inhabit now. He asks, \u201c<em>Who else is involved behind the scenes of these manipulative campaigns? How bad will the fallout be for those organizations supporting these narrative twisters?<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The question remains open as to how this game plays out.
