A bombshell report from journalist Michael Shellenberger reveals that Trump\u2019s impeachment wasn\u2019t a Democrat-led political hit job\u2014it was an intelligence operation.<\/p>\n

Shellenberger blew the lid off the scandal on Fox News<\/em>, exposing how the deep state worked behind the scenes to take down Trump.<\/p>\n

Back in 2019, Democrats rushed to impeach Trump over a whistleblower complaint claiming he pressured Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden. But there was one huge problem: the so-called whistleblower wasn\u2019t a witness.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany people may not remember that it was a CIA analyst who was left over from the Obama White House who wrote the memo that led to the impeachment<\/em>,\u201d Shellenberger explained. \u201cIt was all based on hearsay. The person had not actually been in the room with Trump<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

And it gets worse. That memo relied on a report from the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP)\u2014a group that pretends to be independent but was actually funded by USAID and controlled by the U.S. government.<\/p>\n

\u201cTens of millions of dollars had gone into this group called OCCRP<\/em>,\u201d Shellenberger said. \u201cBut it was basically created as an extension of the State Department and then of USAID<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

In other words, the same agencies that topple foreign governments were using their playbook against a sitting U.S. president. \u201cSo USAID was involved with regime change abroad and here at home<\/em>,\u201d Jesse Watters concluded.<\/p>\n

Both USAID and the CIA Were Behind the Impeachment of Trump in 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

The House of Representatives impeached President Donald Trump on December 18, 2019, after a White House whistleblower went public with evidence that Trump used his powers by withholding military aid to Ukraine in order to dig up dirt on his rival, Joe Biden. In the complaint<\/a>, the whistleblower claimed to have heard from White House staff that Trump had, on a phone call, directed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to work with his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, to investigate Joe Biden and Hunter Biden. The whistleblower who triggered the impeachment was a CIA analyst who was first brought into the White House by the Obama administration.<\/p>\n

Reporting by alternative media revealed<\/a> that the CIA analyst relied on information from a supposedly independent investigative news organization called the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), which appears to have effectively operated as an arm of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which President Trump has just shut down. The CIA whistleblower complaint cited<\/a> a long report by OCCRP<\/a> four times.<\/p>\n

The OCCRP report alleged that two Soviet-born Florida businessmen were \u201ckey hidden actors behind a plan<\/em>\u201d by Trump to investigate the Bidens. According to the story, those two businessmen connected Giuliani to two former Ukrainian prosecutors. The OCCRP report was crucial to the House Democrats\u2019 impeachment claim, which is that Trump dispatched Giuliani as part of a coordinated effort to pressure a foreign country to disclose crimes committed by his political adversary before the 2020 presidential election, which is why the whistleblower cited it four times.<\/p>\n

In a 2024 documentary<\/a> that German television broadcaster NDR<\/em> made about OCCRP\u2019s dependence on the US government, a USAID official confirmed that USAID approves OCCRP\u2019s \u201cannual work plan<\/em>\u201d and approves new hires of \u201ckey personnel<\/em>.\u201d NDR<\/em> initiated and carried out the investigation with French investigative news organization Mediapart, Italian group Il Fatto Quotidiano, Reporters United in Greece, and Drop Site News<\/em><\/a> in the United States.<\/p>\n

However, according to a Mediapart<\/a> story published the same day as the Drop Site News<\/em> article, NDR<\/em> censored the broadcast \u201cafter US journalist Drew Sullivan, the co-founder and head of the OCCRP, placed pressure on the NDR management and made false accusations against the broadcaster\u2019s journalists involved in the project<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

On December 16, Drop Site<\/em>\u2019s Ryan Grim posted a link on X to the 26-minute-long documentary<\/a>. \u201cNDR, Germany\u2019s public broadcaster, is facing a censorship scandal and has defended itself by saying it never killed a news report about OCCRP and its State Department funding \u2014 b\/c no report was ever produced to kill<\/em>,\u201d said Grim. \u201cThat was absurd \u2014 and dozens, maybe hundreds, of journalists knew it to be false, and now of course, someone has leaked it<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The journalistic collaboration revealed<\/a> that OCCRP\u2019s original funding came from the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the State Department, and quotes a USAID official who says, \u201cDrew\u2019s just nervous about being linked with law enforcement<\/em>,\u201d referring to Sullivan. \u201cIf people who are going to give you information think you\u2019re just a cop, maybe it\u2019s a problem<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

OCCRP does not operate like a normal investigative journalism organization in that its goals appear to include interfering in foreign political matters, including elections, aimed at regime change. Sullivan told NDR<\/em><\/a> that his organization had \u201cprobably been responsible for five or six countries changing over from one government to another government and getting prime ministers indicted or thrown out<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

As such, it appears that CIA, USAID, and OCCRP were all involved in the impeachment of President Trump in ways similar to the regime change operations that all three organizations engage in abroad. The difference is that it is highly illegal and even treasonous for CIA, USAID, and its contractors and intermediaries, known as \u201ccut-outs<\/em>,\u201d to interfere in US politics this way.<\/p>\n
