A lesson in power, lack of transparency, and contempt for the sovereign.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-198762\" src=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1-49-e1748285371545-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"373\" srcset=\"https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1-49-e1748285371545-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/yogaesoteric.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1-49-e1748285371545.jpg 654w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While all of Europe is reeling from the social, economic, and psychological consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, the European Parliament is blocking a key debate on one of the most controversial deals of the pandemic: the multi-billion euro vaccine contract between EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.<\/p>\n<p>A series of text messages \u2013 exchanged personally between von der Leyen and Bourla \u2013 remains classified to this day. This despite the fact that recently the European Court of Justice found the Commission in violation of the right to information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A \u201chistoric judgment\u201d \u2013 which remains without consequences<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Transparency International called it a \u201c<em>historic victory for transparency in the EU<\/em>.\u201d The <em>New York Times<\/em>, which had filed the lawsuit against the EU Commission, was supported by the court: The Commission had \u201c<em>failed to prove that the messages did not exist<\/em>\u201d \u2013 a diplomatic euphemism for \u201ccovering up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And what is the European Parliament doing? It is blocking any debate on the matter. A motion by the Patriots for Europe group to finally discuss the case publicly failed due to opposition from the major political groups: Renew Europe and the European People&#8217;s Party (EPP). The latter includes not only the CDU\/CSU, but also the Dutch parties BBB and NSC \u2013 both of which voted against clarification.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udc89 | Pfizergate cover-up? This is exactly why the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Patriots?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Patriots<\/a> initiated the TRAC inquiry committee \u2014 to demand answers and expose the truth. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HVaXbLMmf7\">pic.twitter.com\/HVaXbLMmf7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Patriots for Europe (@PatriotsEP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PatriotsEP\/status\/1925192844429430828?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 21, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><strong>What are they hiding?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The key question is: What did these messages say? And why has von der Leyen refused to disclose them for years?<\/p>\n<p>The vaccine deal, worth over \u20ac35 billion, was negotiated behind closed doors \u2013 without a tender, without oversight. Even other Commission members learned of the details from the press.<\/p>\n<p>Was it about quantities, prices, liability? Was it about political deals? Or personal proximity?<\/p>\n<p>The fact is: The citizens paid \u2013 and are still paying today. Billions of taxpayer dollars flowed to a US pharmaceutical company. And while people suffered from lockdowns, side effects, and family divisions, the top EU official negotiated directly with the Pfizer CEO via text message \u2013 without any democratic oversight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Democracy as a farce<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What the EU Parliament is now demonstrating is not a vibrant democracy \u2013 but its erosion.<\/p>\n<p>When a majority of members of parliament, who are supposed to represent the citizens, deliberately refuse to debate after a court has demanded transparency, then it&#8217;s no longer about citizens&#8217; interests, but about self-protection and power politics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion: A scandal with warning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The silence on the Pfizer news isn&#8217;t a minor matter \u2013 it&#8217;s a symbol. A symbol of how far the EU elites have become from the people.
