Ukraine alone was allocated \u20ac10 million in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The report focuses exclusively on official EU media funding programs and does not include indirect funding channels such as advertising and communication contracts awarded to marketing firms that channel funds to major media outlets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Financing European media<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Through the <em>Journalist Partnerships<\/em> program alone (budget: up to 50 million euros), the EU manages a large ecosystem of \u201c<em>cooperation<\/em>\u201d with media projects: from pro-European advertising campaigns and \u201c<em>investigative journalism<\/em>\u201d to large-scale programs to combat \u201c<em>fake news<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of particular note is the close role of public broadcasters. The report speaks of a \u201c<em>semi-structural interrelationship between EU institutions and public media networks<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>EU-funded media<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of
