The inclusion of LGBT content in children\u2019s programming is encouraged by organisations like the Gay &amp; Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), which tracks representation in media and aims to increase LGBT visibility.<\/p>\n<p>While Netflix and Warner Bros. lock horns over a possible <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-netflix-warner-bros-merger-problem-f3e317b61899d34ce507ba38af4a2934\">merger,<\/a> some parents are worried it will expand the LGBT messaging seen in nearly half of Netflix\u2019s children\u2019s programming to other programs that would come under its umbrella.<\/p>\n<p>Children\u2019s programming is a powerful tool for changing culture by speaking directly to children. By age four, 58% of children in the USA have their own video tablet, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commonsensemedia.org\/press-releases\/digital-childhood-starts-at-age-two-landmark-study-shows-evolution-of-young-childrens-media-use\"><em>Common Sense Media<\/em><\/a>. But the shows aimed at kids can\u2019t be trusted with small children\u2019s brain.<\/p>\n<p>Television producers are using their entertainment platforms to normalise LGBT values in the consciousnesses of very impressionable audiences and it is becoming the rule, not the exception.<\/p>\n<p>41% of children\u2019s shows on Netflix are pushing the LGBT agenda, according to a recently released report by Concerned Women for America (CWA).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Unbelievable.<\/p>\n<p>Netflix is using a children\u2019s cartoon, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, to push same-sex sexual relationships and the LGBTQ agenda.<\/p>\n<p>This is the blatant sexual indoctrination of innocent children.<\/p>\n<p>Boycott Netflix. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/pe30azv6Qm\">pic.twitter.com\/pe30azv6Qm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Lila Rose (@LilaGraceRose) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LilaGraceRose\/status\/1973834468168245532?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 2, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>CWA <a href=\"https:\/\/concernedwomen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/CWA-Netflix-Report.pdf\">analysed<\/a> Netflix programming ratings for children and found 41% of both G-rated and TV-Y7-rated series on Netflix contain LGBT content.<\/p>\n<p>The Netflix series <em>Ada Twist, Scientist<\/em> is geared toward kids ages 7 and up. The show\u2019s tagline promises Ada and her two best friends \u201c<em>are asking big questions \u2013 and working together to discover the truth about everything!<\/em>\u201d But they don\u2019t ask questions; in that episode, the kids are planning, attending and celebrating a wedding between two men. They just want to find some glitter to make the wedding perfect. The episode includes several kisses between the men.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">YIKES. Ada Twist, Scientist, a show for 7-YEAR-OLDS on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/netflix?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Netflix<\/a>, showcases young students coming together to set up and celebrate their teacher\u2019s gay wedding.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and Barack and Michelle Obama are the show&#39;s executive producers. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/1LL2lkY8FH\">pic.twitter.com\/1LL2lkY8FH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Libs of TikTok (@libsoftiktok) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/libsoftiktok\/status\/1973127097968144728?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 30, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>It is not an accident that more LGBT characters are being written into storylines across media. It is encouraged by the nonprofit Gay &amp; Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). Each year, GLAAD produces the \u201c<em>Where We Are on TV Report<\/em>,\u201d tracking representation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Between June 1, 2024 and May 31, 2025, GLAAD counted 489 LGBT regular or recurring characters in total. This is a 4% increase and 21 additional characters from 468 characters counted in the previous edition<\/em>,\u201d the 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/glaad.org\/glaad-releases-20th-annual-where-we-are-on-tv-report\/\">report<\/a> said.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s shocking is how much representation is aimed at children. LGBT activists are well aware that parents feel that it is not a topic for their children to explore without parental guidance. Sneaking it into children\u2019s programming is a blatant attempt to change the culture.<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s <em>Strawberry Shortcake<\/em> is a far cry from the beloved 1980s character. Some of the characters are \u201c<em>transberries<\/em>.\u201d When Strawberry Shortcake and her pal are thrilled at the sight of a fancy dress in the colours of the trans flag, their \u201cnonbinary\u201d friend tells them their happy reaction is the \u201c<em>Correct response!<\/em>\u201d A big man in a spectacular ball gown explains that he loves \u201c<em>Living out loud as my most authentic self<\/em>\u201d, while trying to trick everyone into thinking he is a woman. These include <em>Magic School Bus<\/em>, <em>Power Rangers<\/em>, <em>Baby-Sitter\u2019s Club<\/em>, <em>She-Ra<\/em>, and <em>Fairly Odd Parents<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Audiences may have become inured to such content on sitcoms and dramas intended for adult audiences; they might reasonably have assumed that children\u2019s programming would be exempt from identity politics<\/em>\u201d, the report reads. \u201c<em>After all, children\u2019s programming has historically focused on developing social skills and school readiness. Why would there be any need for discussions about adult preoccupations like romantic preference and gender identity?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In October, CWA CEO and President Penny Nance sent a <a href=\"https:\/\/concernedwomen.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/CWA-Letter-to-Netflix-SARANDOS.pdf\">letter<\/a> to Netflix Co-Chief Executive Officer Theodore Sarandos explaining that conversations about romantic orientation are sensitive, different for each family and should take place when the parent decides the time is right.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>No parent wants to be forced to have a conversation about adult romantic preferences or gender identity with their child because of a cartoon<\/em>\u201d, Nance wrote.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">OMG. The show got a lot of attention for its main character, a gay transgender boy. But the show also had a lot of dark imagery, including a devil-like character, hauntings and full cleavage drawn on at least one character.<\/p>\n<p>CWA has asked to speak with Netflix about its children\u2019s programming, but the network has not yet responded, the group said in a press release.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">OMG.
