Few people know how large, connected and global this organization actually is.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unit 8200 \u2013 the invisible nervous system of the Israeli cyber apparatus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are only estimates of the exact size of the unit \u2013 often 8,000 to 10,000 analysts, technicians and cyber specialists. Many of Israel&#8217;s largest start-ups in the high-tech sector were founded by former Unit 8200 people. Netanyahu&#8217;s statement \u201e<em>Worldwide there is a piece of Israel in every cell phone<\/em>\u201d is therefore realistic \u2013 at least technically, economically and industrially.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The most explosive allegation: remotely activated devices in Gaza &amp; Lebanon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>International media reported cases where in conflict areas mobile phones exploded or were deliberately deactivated. Whoever controls the firmware has control.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Final conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whether Unit 8200 can really detonate smartphones or has already detonated them remains unproven.
