Within the nearly 3,100-page National Defense Authorization Act<\/em> (NDAA), lawmakers included a provision calling for \u201cdeclassification<\/em>\u201d and \u201ctransparency<\/em>\u201d concerning the origins of the covid-19 pandemic. The measure requires intelligence agencies from the Trump administration to release information related to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), where covid-related research was outsourced in October 2014 through funding provided by the Obama administration to EcoHealth Alliance, a New York-based nonprofit led by Peter Daszak.<\/p>\n

In March 2018, Daszak submitted a funding application to DARPA entitled Project DEFUSE<\/em> (short for Defusing the Threat of Bat-borne Coronaviruses), the aim of which was to genetically modify coronaviruses from bats to develop increased potential for infection in humans \u2013 including properties that could enable transmission via aerosols (air). The request was ultimately rejected by DARPA on security grounds \u2013 although certain components of particular interest could be pursued further \u201cif funding were available.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Let’s see if the NDAA is passed with this wording \u2013 and if it adopts the above confirmed Fauci-funded adventures in Wuhan. It is noteworthy that Peter Daszak \u2013 unlike Fauci \u2013 was not pardoned by former President Joe Biden and the infamous autopen.<\/p>\n

The NDAA text \u2013 specifically Section 6803 \u2013 calls on National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard, along with the heads of all 18 US intelligence agencies, to \u201creview the declassification of intelligence<\/em>\u201d related to \u201cthe origins of coronavirus disease 2019<\/em>\u201d and related to \u201cefforts by government officials of the People’s Republic of China<\/em>\u201d to cover up the origins of the pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cDNI Gabbard continues to advocate for the release of covid-19 information and looks forward to continuing to work with Congress to share the truth about the failures during the pandemic with the American people<\/em>\u201d, a DNI spokesperson told Just the News<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Remember that while the government put us under lockdown, Dr. Anthony Fauci and the people around him actively invented a \u201cwet market<\/em>\u201d narrative, which was intended to obscure US research as a possible origin \u2013 although his own advisors had initially insisted that covid-19 appeared to be man-made.<\/p>\n

Among others, the NIH helped fund experiments at WIV that infected genetically modified mice with \u201echimeric<\/em>\u201d hybrids of SARS-related bat coronaviruses, which some scientists have called unacceptably risky research.<\/p>\n

Andersen made this clear in an email to Fauci. \u201cThe unusual features of the virus make up only a very small part of the genome (<0.1%), so you have to look very closely at all the sequences to see that some of the features (possibly) appear manipulated<\/em>\u201d, Andersen wrote in the email, according to The Intercept<\/em>. \u201cI should mention<\/em>\u201d, he added, \u201cthat after today’s conversations, Eddie, Bob, Mike and I have all concluded that the genome does not match the expectations of evolutionary theory. But we need to look at this much more closely, and there is still more analysis to be done, so these opinions could still modify<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Those who questioned this portrayal, including ZeroHedge<\/em>, were severely punished \u2013 while media such as the LA Times<\/em> went so far as to support Fauci that they took the view: \u201cThe claim that the covid virus escaped from a laboratory is not only an attack on science but also a threat to public health<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Trump administration has once again begun to get to the bottom of the covid-19 virus, reports Just the News<\/em> and adds: \u201cThere is growing evidence \u2013 including from non-US intelligence agencies \u2013 suggesting that it comes from the Wuhan Institute of Virology<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, a huge mountain of intelligence about the origins of the virus remains secret, and Congress is now demanding clarity from the intelligence agencies.<\/p>\n

The Chinese government, meanwhile, continues to deviate from the possibility of a leak at the Wuhan lab, instead theorizing that covid-19 originated at Fort Detrick, a US military base that houses the US Army Infectious Diseases Research Institute (USAMRIID) and the Integrated Research Facility (IRF-Frederick) of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).<\/p>\n

While there is no direct evidence that USAMRIID was involved in pre-pandemic research, the facility has been investigating SARS-CoV-1 (2003) and MERS-CoV since the early 2000s, including reverse genetics for chimeric viruses and interferon therapies. Collaboration with Ralph Baric of UNC, who developed \u201chumanized mice\u201d for scientists in Wuhan to infect them, influenced later debates about functional gains, but predated SARS-CoV-2.<\/p>\n

In short, it looks like this:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The US government has outsourced risky gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses to Wuhan, China.<\/li>\n
  • The WIV had poor laboratory safety.<\/li>\n
  • American researchers collaborated with WIV scientists to develop chimeric (genetically modified) bat coronaviruses, likely including covid-19.<\/li>\n
  • The virus escaped just in time to trigger a global pandemic that undid Trump’s economic momentum and led to a mail-in ballot during the \u201cfraud-free<\/em>\u201d 2020 election, in which Joe Biden received more votes than any other president in US history.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    During Gabbard’s Senate confirmation hearing in January, she said many senators had expressed \u201cbipartisan frustration with recent intelligence failures and a lack of response to your requests for information<\/em>\u201d, including in connection with \u201cfailures to identify the source of covid.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

    As a result, in April, she founded the Director’s Initiatives Group (DIG), which aims to \u201cinvestigate instrumentalization, eradicate deep-rooted politicization, uncover unauthorized disclosures of classified information, and declassify information in the public interest.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

    An ODNI official told Just the News<\/em> that Gabbard and her team are working hard to address intelligence failures related to covid-19 to investigate, including the possible suppression of the laboratory leak hypothesis within the intelligence community and a comprehensive review of US-funded gain-of-function research.<\/p>\n

    The official also said that the ODNI is coordinating with other intelligence agencies such as the FBI and the Department of Energy to share details of the covid-19 investigations.<\/p>\n

    The ODNI official added that Gabbard’s office had provided Congress with the requested documents on the origins of covid, including records that had been unlawfully withheld by the Biden administration. Gabbard’s office is also interviewing whistleblowers and considering releasing more documents, the official said.<\/p>\n

    If the NDAA is passed by the Senate and signed by Trump, Gabbard and the ODNI would have to conduct two separate covid-19 confidentiality audits. The first review would be carried out with the origin of the virus and request Gabbard to review the intelligence information about \u201cresearch at the Wuhan Institute of Virology or other medical or scientific research centers in the People’s Republic of China<\/em>\u201d and \u201cinformation about gain-of-function research and the intent of that research.<\/em>\u201d The review would also address \u201cinformation on sources of funding or instructions for coronavirus research, including both sources within the People’s Republic of China and foreign sources.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

    The second review of the release would call on the ODNI to investigate Beijing’s efforts to \u201cdisrupt or hinder the exchange of information or investigations into the origins<\/em>\u201d of covid-19 and \u201cdisrupt the exchange of medically important information on the transmissibility and potential harmfulness of SARS-CoV-2 to humans<\/em>\u201d. <\/em>This second review would also address China’s attempts \u201cto refuse to share information with the United States, allies and partners of the United States, or multilateral organizations, including the United Nations and the World Health Organization,<\/em>\u201d as well as Beijing’s efforts to \u201cpressure or influence<\/em>\u201d governments, organizations, and officials related to covid-19.<\/p>\n

    Let’s see if the Trump administration squanders another opportunity to provide long-promised clarity on an important issue of national interest after thoroughly botching Epstein’s release.<\/p>\n
