Extraterrestrial beings have visited our planet traveling in an otherworldly craft and they have made contact with humans, according to US Congressman Tim Burchett.<\/p>\n

The Tennessee Republican Representative claims that the extraterrestrial beings do not pose a threat to humanity.<\/p>\n

He also alleges that various agencies, including NASA, have been \u201clying<\/em>\u201d about what they know and claims that many files on the subject remain undisclosed.<\/p>\n

In the US, interest in UFOs and related phenomena has grown in recent years, due to the federal government backing the Pentagon\u2019s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) and established channels for pilots and the public to report sightings.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd they gave specifics, they gave addresses, they gave times and dates and people that were in the meeting<\/em>,\u201d Burchett said during a livestream interview<\/a>. \u201cAnd this went all the way up to the executive branch of previous presidents, not this current president.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Answering the hosts\u2019 questions, the 61-year-old congressman stressed that the claims referred both to \u201clife that is not Earthly<\/em>\u201d and to \u201csomething mechanical that\u2019s not Earthly.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Burchett also said that he does not believe extraterrestrial beings pose a threat to humanity. \u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019re at danger of this. I mean, these beings exist as I think they do, and they could have destroyed us with the blink of an eye, I just don\u2019t see that<\/em>,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Newsmax<\/em> a week earlier, the lawmaker also warned that releasing classified information about alleged extraterrestrial encounters could shake public confidence.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been briefed by just about every alphabet agency there is, and if they released what I\u2019ve seen, you\u2019d be up at night worrying about it<\/em>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Tim Burchett has emerged as a leading voice on disclosure of files regarding unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), pushing for greater government transparency.<\/p>\n
