Host of the event: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commonsensemedia.org\/press-releases\/leaders-gather-for-inaugural-copenhagen-youth-ai-summit-as-common-sense-media-brings-youth-ai-safety\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Common Sense Media<\/a> \u2013 a US organization officially dedicated to child protection, but now deeply involved in global AI regulation, age verification, and platform control.<\/p>\n<p>And this is precisely where things get explosive.<\/p>\n<p>Because the same networks that have been pushing for stricter internet control, \u201c<em>disinformation campaigns<\/em>\u201d, AI regulation and digital identity systems for years were now on stage together with top EU politicians \u2013 while at the same time there was open discussion about age restrictions for virtual communication networks, algorithmic control and stronger regulation of digital platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Officially, it&#8217;s about children.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the technical infrastructure for a controlled internet is gradually being created.<\/p>\n<p>Because as soon as age limits become mandatory for virtual communication networks, age verification will be required. Age verification, in turn, means digital identity systems. And digital identity systems inevitably mean more verification, more registration, and less anonymity online.<\/p>\n<p>This development is now gaining momentum.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s particularly striking is who&#8217;s behind Common Sense Media. Its funders and partners include, among others:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chan Zuckerberg Initiative<\/li>\n<li>Gates Foundation<\/li>\n<li>Bloomberg Philanthropies<\/li>\n<li>Omidyar Network<\/li>\n<li>Salesforce<\/li>\n<li>Future of Life Institute<\/li>\n<li>OpenAI<\/li>\n<li>Bezos Family Foundation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Typically appearing most closely or frequently in conjunction with Soros\/Open Society networks are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Omidyar Network \u2013 often collaborates with open society-oriented NGOs, media projects, and governance initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Bloomberg Philanthropies \u2013 overlaps in climate, governance, media and regulatory projects.<\/li>\n<li>Silicon Valley Community Foundation \u2013 a large donor network that also funds progressive tech and governance projects.<\/li>\n<li>The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation \u2013 funds many NGOs, media and democracy projects, sometimes in parallel with open society structures.<\/li>\n<li>Oak Foundation \u2013 is active in human rights, migration and governance issues, with overlaps to funding areas close to Soros.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Specifically, those tech, AI and foundation networks that have been promoting increasingly strong digital governance structures for years.<\/p>\n<p>Critics therefore warn of a creeping transformation of the internet: away from an open network, towards an identity-based, algorithmically monitored and centrally regulated digital space.<\/p>\n<p>Under the banner of \u201c<em>online security<\/em>,\u201d systems are being developed that could go far beyond child protection:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>mandatory age verification,<\/li>\n<li>biometric identity verification,<\/li>\n<li>AI-powered content moderation,<\/li>\n<li>algorithmic censorship,<\/li>\n<li>restrictions on anonymous communication,<\/li>\n<li>platform liability,<\/li>\n<li>automatic moderation of political content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is particularly noteworthy that the very corporations and networks that themselves profit massively from the AI boom are now simultaneously helping to shape the rules for its control.<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI is now working directly with Common Sense Media on projects for \u201c<em>safe AI for children<\/em>.\u201d At the same time, EU institutions are discussing new digital identity models and stricter regulation of virtual communication platforms.<\/p>\n<p>This creates a concentration of power, in which tech companies, NGOs, foundations and governments increasingly merge.<\/p>\n<p>And that is precisely what changes the nature of the internet itself.<\/p>\n<p>Because the original web was based on openness, anonymity, and free access. The new model is increasingly based on verification, access rights, algorithmic control, and curated visibility.<\/p>\n<p>The real danger lies not in a single measure, but in the interaction of all systems:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>digital ID<\/li>\n<li>age verification<\/li>\n<li>AI moderation,<\/li>\n<li>biometric authentication,<\/li>\n<li>platform control<\/li>\n<li>\u201cTrust &amp; Safety\u201d rules,<\/li>\n<li>combating disinformation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Together, this creates an internet in which every user becomes identifiable, controllable, and potentially filterable.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, all of this is justified with security, child protection, and responsibility.
