Europe’s Civilizational War Will Be Bloody
When all the “pressure valves” of a civil society are welded shut, the society ceases to be “civil”.
It seems that every month a new story emerges from Britain warning of the likelihood of a future civil war. Retired Colonel Richard Kemp recently gave a television interview in which he warned that the “Islamization” of the United Kingdom would lead to an “inevitable conflict.” Several British academics specializing in the preconditions for civil conflict, including Professors David Betz and Michael Rainsborough, share this view.

Kemp’s view gains additional weight from his personal experience in counterinsurgency. As a former commander, he led counterinsurgency operations in Northern Ireland, commanded British troops in Afghanistan, and held intelligence positions in Westminster. Kemp says the refusal of Islamic immigrants to integrate into British society means that the situation in the UK is “deteriorating” and will soon become “even worse.” Among other provocative remarks that will undoubtedly anger the British “ruling class,” Kemp notes: “There were more British Muslims in the Taliban than in the British Army.”
The combat veteran argues that Britain’s political class has failed its citizens by exposing them to danger and is simultaneously incapable of correcting its mistakes because it paralyzes itself with excessive concern for what can be said in public. “No government,” Kemp claims, “has the courage to stop the Islamization of the United Kingdom.” Consequently, ordinary Britons should now prepare for the likelihood of a “civil war in Europe.” Kemp describes the looming conflict in the United Kingdom as far more serious and deadly than the decades of unrest in Northern Ireland. The coming civil war will “involve native Britons, sections of the immigrant population, and the British government on three different sides fighting each other.”
Drawing on his experience with insurrectionary movements, the retired colonel blames political disenfranchisement in Britain for the future violence: “The big problem for the British population is that they have no political choice. We don’t really live in a democracy. No matter which party you vote for, you get the same policies. This also applies to immigration and to the way the Muslim population is allowed to grow in numbers and dominance.” Like the academics Betz and Rainsborough, Kemp sees the refusal of the UK’s political class to respect the will of the voters on issues of immigration, Brexit, and the preservation of traditional culture as the immediate cause of the coming civil war.
Democratic institutions offer citizens a “pressure valve” through which they can express pent-up frustration without resorting to violence. The problem, however, is that in the United Kingdom – as in much of the West – a political “one-party” system prevails. It makes no difference whether Britons elect a Labour or Tory prime minister; they receive a continuous influx of Islamic immigrants.
When native Britons publicly protest against “Islamization,” they are labelled “racists” by both Labour and Tory MPs and persecuted for “hate speech.” If they march through city centres to condemn Islamic rape gangs and Islamist terrorism, they are likewise labelled “racists” and persecuted for “hate speech.” If they protest against the construction of large mosques in rural areas, they are again branded “racists” and prosecuted. Citizens have therefore learned that elections accomplish nothing and that their political “leaders” are incapable of defending British lives or the British way of life.
The British cauldron is simmering, and Kemp joins a growing chorus of experts on violent civil conflict who predict a war-torn kingdom in the near future. “I think people will feel they have no choice but to take action themselves, rather than relying on political leaders who do nothing,” Kemp said in another interview. “I think it’s very likely” that there will be a “civil war in the United Kingdom” in the coming years.
What Kemp describes for Great Britain is occurring all over Europe. While members of the political elite have spent decades preoccupied with the weather and how to make the world “green,” technological innovation, entrepreneurship, and industrial self-sufficiency have declined. Although most European states have replaced historical monarchies with representative democracies, an aristocratic class has insinuated itself into positions of power within these “representative” governments. Perhaps driven by a feudal ideology, European politicians cannot resist the temptation of centralized, top-down economies. While “elites” micromanage industry and trade, determining “winners” and “losers” like lords over vassals, free markets no longer function properly. The result: Europeans are becoming poorer, having fewer children, and continuing a centuries-long decline.
The European ruling class responded to this demographic decline by inviting migrants from Africa, Asia, and the Middle East to become European citizens. Instead of successfully resolving the generational crisis by replacing native babies with foreign ones, European “elites” have engineered a inevitable “clash” between Western and Islamic civilizations.
In the United Kingdom alone, ten major cities – including Birmingham, Bradford, Manchester, and parts of London – are on track to have Muslim majorities within the next one or two decades. These are historically working-class areas where native Britons are being impoverished, while foreign nationals are taking over neighbourhoods that were once their homes. Mosques are springing up everywhere. Islamic grocery stores, restaurants, festivals, and religious celebrations are replacing the food and customs of local families whose history there stretches back centuries. Social integration is not taking place.
As economic conditions deteriorate and cultural conflicts escalate, globalist politicians who extol “multiculturalism” as a virtue and repeat “diversity is our strength” like a truth will soon realize how dangerous it is to mix many incompatible cultures. Like a shaken carbonated drink, the cultural pressure in these Islamized European cities is poised to explode.
As Richard Kemp argues, this explosion is made all the worse because Europe’s political “ruling class” denies voters course corrections that are popular with the people but unpopular with the “elites.” In France, the Netherlands, Germany, Romania, and elsewhere, “elites” use institutional manoeuvres to prevent “populist” parties from gaining or exercising power. Candidates critical of immigration are persecuted for “hate crimes,” “Russian connections,” or other fabricated offenses.
Unelected aristocrats in the European Council secretly fund pro-immigration candidates and censor citizens who express their outrage over mass immigration on social media. In national parliaments and the European Union, laws are passed that effectively criminalize public dissent against official government policy.
Europe’s political “ruling class” has angered a growing segment of the population – and instead of addressing the root causes of this anger, it has chosen to silence ordinary Europeans and threaten them with prosecution and imprisonment. When all the “pressure valves” of a civil society are welded shut, that society ceases to be “civil.” Europe’s “elites” have created the conditions for a bloody civil war – because entire civilizations would be at war with each other.
