Jewish Child Sexual Abuse is Underreported Because They Control the Media

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if a single ethnic group controlled all of the media and news people consumed? You only have to look at the Christian faith and how it’s fallen in popularity in white countries with a Jew dominated media (e.g. Sweden, the U.K. and the U.S.A.) over the past few decades; Catholicism, especially, has gone from being a once grand and respected institution to a laughing stock.

Jews essentially control most of the media in America. Thus, it should come as no surprise that while they are quick to mock Catholics at every opportunity and release study after study looking at Catholic child sexual abuse and its prevalence, there has been scant reporting on even more severe and endemic child sexual abuse in the Jewish community.

The effect Jewish control of the media has on religious perceptions in countries can actually be demonstrated. For example, using Poland as a control group we can see that despite a few isolated cases of impropriety by priests Roman Catholic hasn’t fallen as an identity; some 92.8% of Poles ages 16 and over identify as Catholic but only half that number actually attend mass every week. If you look at English language reporting however, you would think Poles were abandoning Catholicism rapidly and that the faith would soon to be dead.

There are approximately 415,616 Catholic priests who tend to 1.22 billion Catholics globally. Of these, it is estimated between 1.5% and 5% have had allegations made against them (note, allegations, not actual convictions). Yet despite this in a poll conducted in 2002 (after a story broke involving historic abuse cases) 64 percent of those queried thought Catholic priests “frequently” abused children. This just goes to show the power of the media and why no one group should be allowed to have a monopoly on it.

Most people would not suspect that this problem was equally bad (if not worse) in the Jewish community. However, in Judaism the truth isn’t some objective reality, but whatever is good for the Jews, hence there has been severe underreporting of cases to authorities with the consequence that there is a dearth of statistics.

Vice reported on the issue back in 2013: Rabbi Rosenberg believes around half of young males in Brooklyn’s Hasidic community – the largest in the United States and one of the largest in the world – have been victims of sexual assault perpetrated by their elders. Ben Hirsch, director of Survivors for Justice, a Brooklyn organization that advocates for Orthodox sex abuse victims, thinks the real number is higher. “From anecdotal evidence, we’re looking at over 50 percent. It has almost become a rite of passage.”

Whereas the Catholic Church keeps figures and reports any hint of impropriety to law enforcement, Jews have a religious commandment to do the opposite.
From a report in The Journal of Child Sexual Abuse entitled Twice Silenced: The Underreporting of Child Sexual Abuse in Orthodox Jewish Communities:

“The law of Mesira equates communication with secular authorities to report another Jew’s transgressions with treason (Kolker, 2006).
The concept behind Mesira is strongly tied with the Orthodox Jewish value of Chillul Hashem (desecration of God’s name), which many interpret as a commandment not to air the community’s dirty laundry in public or allow the adjudication of Jews in non-Jewish courts (Featherman, 1995).

Loshon Hora, a prohibition against speaking ill of others, is often considered to be the reason that abusers cannot be publicly named (Chayil, 2010; Silberg & Dallam, 2009). Loshon Hora is a serious biblical sin that encompasses all manners of speech including gossip, slander, and derogatory speech against a fellow Jew.
The next time someone tells you Jews have always been great defenders of freedom of speech make sure to mention Loshon Hora, it’s pretty much how ‘hate speech’ is defined in countries where it’s illegal – just substitute ‘fellow Jew’ for the oppressed minority du jour.”

Newsweek did a report in 2016, one of the few others you’ll find on the topic:
“When Manny Vogel was in seventh grade at Oholei Torah, a student a few years older, high school age, wouldn’t let him alone – he’d follow Vogel in the hallways, into study halls and in the lunchroom. Then, Vogel recalls, the boy asked for a favor.

He claimed he wanted to ‘try karate moves on me’. But karate was simply a pretense to touch the younger boy in ways he would later come to recognize as inappropriate. One time, Vogel says, the classmate paid him $5 to let him touch Vogel’s genitals over his pants. Vogel never said anything to his teachers, principal or parents. ‘He took advantage of me. I didn’t know any better.’

According to Vogel and other students, this older student had a reputation for touching younger kids – and teachers and administrators knew it. There were rumors he offered a classmate $175 for a ‘karate practice session’. Students believed the kid used the money he raised from selling bagels – eaten at school, after morning prayers – to fund his perversion.”
