The PEPSI Company is accused of using for the new Pepsi Next formula
by Andrei Popescu
The PEPSI Company is accused of using for the new Pepsi Next formula, with 60% less sweeteners, due to be launched on the market in the following weeks, a flavour based on chemical reactions with tissues from kidneys coming from aborted human foetuses.
These flavours are produced by Senomyx, a company from San Diego, USA, specialized in the production of ingredients that give flavour to foods. The company is accused of using cells from kidneys coming from aborted human foetuses. According to those making these accuses, there are several other viable options available for the experiments that they conduct. In spite of appeals and pleas from several non-profit organizations to end these immoral experiments, Senomyx completely ignored any such request.
The first accusations of this type appeared in 2011 when the non-profit group Children of God for Life (CGL) have revealed the alliance between PEPSI and Senomyx. The news triggered an international boycott against PEPSI products. This is because the company could have – like its competitors – used chemical flavours instead of experiments with cells from aborted human foetuses or, like the Senomyx company wrote: “isolated human gustatory receptors”.
A few months later, even some PEPSI shareholders submitted a petition to the company, for “adopting a corporate policy that recognizes human rights and employs ethical standards which do not involve using the remains of aborted human beings in both private and collaborative research and development agreements.”
The Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), belonging to the Obama administration allowed PEPSI to use this type of flavours, declaring that it is a product like any other, cataloguing the agreement between Pepsi and Senomyx and implicitly the use of cells coming from aborted human foetuses in PEPSI beverages as being a “normal business”.
The letter signed by lawyer Brian Pitko from the SEC Office was sent to the company, and in it one approves the use of remains of aborted human beings for research or development. These two terms already allow the large scale use of substance from bodies of aborted babies for making refreshing beverages.
The executive director of CGL Debi Vinnedge declared that “it is not about the instruments used by the Pepsi Company, but about exploiting aborted foetuses for profit”.
Tissues of aborted foetuses are not found in the beverage itself. These are used during the experiments made to establish the human reaction to the obtained chemical flavour. The fact that Pepsi uses this system of experimentation, when it could use other non-human methods, is outrageous. The company proves immortality and perversion.
In January, senator Ralph Shortey of Oklahoma suggested a law through which one forbids products with chemical laws derived from aborted human cells. If the law will pass, then PEPSI will no longer be able to sell its products in this state. Aside from PEPSI, other large companies use chemical flavours obtained in this shocking way. These companies are: Nestle, Kraft Foods and Solae.
