Leaked CIA Docs Reveal Deep State Conspired to Overthrow US Gov’t in 2020
In a bombshell revelation, emails obtained through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) have shed light on efforts by intelligence officials to sway the 2020 presidential election.

Journalist John Solomon, appearing on Real America’s Voice, unveiled correspondence between ex-CIA Acting Director Michael Morell and former CIA Director John Brennan. In the exchange, Morell solicits Brennan’s signature on a public statement signed by 51 former intelligence professionals, which suggested the Hunter Biden laptop story bore “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”
Solomon described the email as “damning evidence” of a coordinated political manoeuvre. Morell explicitly states his intent: to provide the Biden campaign, “particularly during the first candidates’ debate, a talking point to push back on Trump on this issue.” This timing aligned with the October 2020 final presidential debate, where Joe Biden referenced the letter to dismiss allegations about his son’s laptop as disinformation.

The controversy extends beyond retirees. Incoming FBI Director Kash Patel has accused the CIA under then-Director Gina Haspel of violating its charter against domestic political involvement. Patel claims active CIA employees solicited signatures for the letter, knowing it contained misleading information, and called for subpoenas against Haspel and her leadership team. “This letter shows that Gina Haspel’s CIA broke that mandate,” Patel stated, emphasizing the agency’s 1947 prohibition on partisan interference.
Critics argue this amounts to election meddling by elements of the “deep state,” potentially undermining voter confidence. The 51 signatories, including prominent figures like James Clapper and Leon Panetta, have faced scrutiny, with some revoking security clearances in related fallout.
