Live from Herculane

The mountain resort by the Cerna River has been lodging for more than a decade now, the International Yoga Camp. This year almost 5000 yogis met in Baile Herculane. Why do the yogis enjoy so much here? One reason is the pure air, then the specific bioenergy of the area, quite special, also the beautiful scenery and last but not least the hospitality of its people.

It’s been a great surprise to us this year to find out posters stuck “on all fences” the Message of Caransebes Bishopric warning people to keep distance from yogis and avoid getting contact with their activities which, in their opinion, “attempt the Christian moral”. Not even this could have any influence over people dwelling in Herculane, who have known the yogis for so long. Considering that many of them have lodged in lots of yogis so far and they had the opportunity to find out by themselves that they are quiet people, but joyful, sociable and have never caused any problems at all unlike the “marvels” that the newspapers are spreading about them. Still, that is an unpleasant thing that the Orthodox Church itself, which should set a good sense of righteousness had lent its ear to the media gossips set up by various occult interests and issued this Message based on some aberrant article issued by the newspaper Ziua de Vest. For example, as proof for the misinformation, it is said that “more than 4000 Danish yogis” will come to Baile Herculane.

Since the very first day, the International Yoga Camp went on just usually; so the yogis simply set up their watches according the meditations program at noon and evening.  There have been almost two hours and a half daily meditations and also conferences on various yoga subjects. The yogis celebrated together the Resurrection on the mountain table upside the resort. The Sophrozin theatre group performed the esoteric play “The Resurrection” then everybody had a meditation – a time journey into the subtle “akasha” files to evoke the resurrection moment of Jesus Christ.

The first half of our yoga camp has already gone. The most important event was the yang spiral organized on the mountain table upside the resort followed by the special meditation of induction of the state of liberation through divine miracle. Almost 3000 people participated in the spiral. We are happy to point out the fair broadcasting of this event by various TV stations, which finally gave up spicing the news about yogis with disparaging fantasies.
