Bucharest, January 22nd, 2011. A different kind of contest. 147 men from Romania and abroad. Each and every participant was more than a simple contestant. They shared every succes, every realization, every record. A contest in which, more important than to be the best was simply to be. Support, friendship, solidarity. The International Mahavira Ananda YOGA Contest.

Only active members of the group were allowed to participate in the contest.

The hall was packed.
The intelligence test was first.
Although the tests seemed simple, they offered the contestants some food for thought.
There were over 10 hours of contest going on.
Mahavira Ananada Group is the most advanced group of energization from Romania and abroad.
The HATHA YOGA test implied the performance of many ASANAS. The first one was UDDHYANA BANDHA.
Sebastian Bumbu from Bucharest got the highest score in the performance of UDDHIANA BHANDA – 1 minute 49 de seconds of retention on void.
Again Sebastian Bumbu was the one who did the biggest number of rotations in NAULI KRIYA during a single retention on void: 120.
The rotations were carefully counted by the members of the jury.
The next ASANA was NABHIASANA and the best time of maintaining this posture was achieved by Peiu Emil Florin, from Constanța: 12 minutes and 40 seconds.
Ion Pavel, from Târgoviște achieved the record time of 3 minutes and 30 seconds for MAYURASANA.
Mahavira Ananda rewarded its winners: The first prize (consisting on 750 euros, and many other gifts, plus full gratuitousness during the international VIRA camp, Mahavira Ananda Costineşti 2011, which will take place in July) was won by a member of the group from Arad who whished to remain anonimous.
The second prize (500 euro, and many other gifts, plus full gratuitousness during the international VIRA camp, Mahavira Ananda Costineşti 2011, which will take place in July) went to Traian Teofil, from Bucharest.
The third price (250 euro, and many other gifts, plus full gratuitousness during the international VIRA camp, Mahavira Ananda Costineşti 2011, which will take place in July) was won by Sebastian Bumbu, from București.
10 Mentions of 100 euros each were also offered, plus free accomodation at the Yogis’ Vacation House during the international Mahavira Ananda camp, from July Costineşti 2011.
In the end, the aspirant VIRAS performed the Art of Blessing.
