Bishop Schneider: Freemasonry’s infiltration is responsible for the crisis in the Church

Bishop Athanasius Schneider, auxiliary bishop of Astana, Kazakhstan, spoke in an interview about the evils of Freemasonry and its deep infiltration into the Church since the Second Vatican Council.

During an interview on the YouTube channel Adrian Milag TV, broadcast publicly on May 22, Bishop Schneider, speaking about his book Credo: Compendium of the Catholic Faith, stated that he included a chapter on Freemasonry because it is one of the main modern evils that is not addressed in the official Catechism of the Church. The bishop then emphasized that Freemasonry is a form of Gnosticism and relativism that has deeply infiltrated the Church since the Second Vatican Council, especially through ecumenism, interreligious dialogue, and the “anthropocentric” reorientation of the liturgy.

This is one of the most dangerous sects and secret pseudo-religious sects, which is a form of Gnosticism,” the bishop said. “At the highest levels (of Freemasonry), it increasingly approaches the cult of Satan……. and the fundamental dogma of Freemasonry is relativism, (they believe) that ‘there is no truth in religion and everyone can choose their own god’.

The second dogma is anthropocentrism, according to which man should be at the centre of everything, not God,” he added.

Monsignor Schneider then delved into the reasons why the Freemasons infiltrated the Church.

The greatest obstacle to the ideology of Freemasonry is the faith in God,” His Excellency stated. “This is completely at odds with the entire edifice of Freemasonry. Therefore, the faith in God……. is considered by Freemasons to be the greatest obstacle.”

Therefore, from the very beginning, Freemasonry has aimed to marginalize and combat the Christian faith,” he added. “And now they have shifted to another, truly demonic tactic, to directly combat the faith in God: they have begun to infiltrate the Church to corrupt it with their ideas of relativism, naturalism, anthropocentrism……. this is the root of the current crisis in the Church since the Second Vatican Council.”

The Kazakh-German prelate emphasized that, while not claiming that Freemasonry is directly responsible for the crisis in the Church, the similarities with Masonic ideology since the Council are “truly striking,” especially with regard to ecumenism, interreligious dialogue, and the centrality of man in the liturgy.

The crisis that has lasted for 60 years, since the Council, is the primacy of relativism, through so-called ecumenism and interreligious dialogue. Christianity is being stripped of his uniqueness compared to other religions,” he stated.

The second phenomenon within the Catholic Church since the Council is that of placing man at the centre of the liturgy……. and Christ is put in a corner, to the side, even in churches. The Holy Eucharist……. the living Christ, the living God incarnate, is put in a corner and the priest sits on his chair, in the centre,” he added. “This is so anthropocentric, and the way of celebrating Holy Mass facing the people as if in a closed circle……. the altar is no longer an altar. No, it’s a table, and at the centre is the priest (no longer) Christ. In theory, they say yes, but not in practice.”

This, then, is another fundamental characteristic of the crisis of the Catholic Church, which is also, I repeat, a characteristic of Masonic ideology. That is, ‘primacy must be given to the nature of earthly life, to earthly realities,’ to the detriment of eternal truth, to the detriment of the grace of spiritual life in grace with God, and this is our crisis. We need to return to God. He needs to be the centre,” the bishop continued.

A video has gone viral showing a young boy refusing to bow to Allah during a Boy Scout field trip to a mosque in Stirling, Scotland, while the rest of the group and the adult Scout leader followed instructions and knelt. The boy, whose name is unknown, didn’t protest. He simply remained silent while everyone else around him imitated their Muslim host. Islam requires its followers to pray facing Mecca five times a day, bowing in submission to Allah. The school trip to the Islamic Centre of Central Scotland transformed from a learning experience about other religions to an experience of participating in that religion.

The boy’s gesture, though silent, spoke to millions of people around the world, who praised him for his fortitude in resisting pressure to conform to a religious act that likely conflicted with his personal beliefs.

A Scottish boy stood his ground and refused to kneel while his scout group visited a Muslim mosque,” a viral virtual communication post wrote, and quickly garnered 700,000 views. “Congratulations to this boy’s parents. We Christians need to remain steadfast in our faith,” the post stated.
