September 6th, 2004: The MISA yoga school claims the necessity to correctly inform the public regarding the yoga practice
Bucharest, September 6th, 2004. MISA yoga school supports the appeal addressed to mass media by the National Group for the Study of Yoga Practice (GNSPY) to inform correctly the public regarding the yoga practice.
We consider that the whole press campaign of the last months brought major detriments to the understanding of the yoga concept, because of the association of the spiritual practices from this millenary tradition with extremely serious accusations, which were not proved even until today. An objective presentation of some basic information will be for sure beneficial for the whole society and will stop the discrimination to which the yoga practitioners from Romania are subject.
The information presented about MISA, the most important yoga school from Romania, was either truncated, or deeply incorrect and defamatory.
The MISA yoga school provides courses of integral yoga that harmoniously combine techniques and procedures from Hatha Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Mahavidya Yoga, Raja Yoga, Mantra Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Tantra Yoga, Swara Yoga, Jnana Yoga. Also, within MISA yoga school there are initiatic courses of Shivaism, Eneagramm, Tantric Alchemy, Ayurveda, Astrology and Parapsychology. It is illustrative the fact that in 1999 the yoga teacher of MISA yoga school from Rishikesh (India) was designated by the Indian government as India’s representative for the International Yoga Week. Also, yoga instructors of MISA yoga school graduated the courses of the Yoga Vedanta Academy – founded by the great yogi Swami Sivananda – and they got licenses as international yoga teachers. These are a few examples from the long list of the achievements obtained on the spiritual level by the students of the MISA yoga school from all around the world.
