The Planets

Man living on planet Earth is used as the natural reference point for the movements of other planets, and as a consequence the “geocentric” system has been chosen. Ptolemy postulated this geocentric system for these astrological reasons in fact. Therefore even the Sun and the Moon are considered “planets”, but it is only a matter of pragmatics. The Sun and Moon have the greatest influence on man, and on the whole earth, and in order to distinguish them among the planets, they are also called the “Luminaries”.

As the notion of “planet” has been clarified, the main astrological characteristics of each of them will be described.
